GNSS- Stuck on Looking for Corrections

Issue

When setting up GNSS in FieldLink, the receiver becomes stuck on “Looking for corrections”.

This is most commonly reported on systems that have not used GNSS in a long time.

Likely Cause

A change on the FDOT/VRS correction service side combined with stale or cached GNSS configuration data stored locally by FieldLink.

If FieldLink has not connected to corrections recently, it may:

  • Retain outdated server or session data

  • Fail to properly re‑authenticate

  • Hang indefinitely while attempting to acquire corrections

This can also affect situations where FieldLink repeatedly prompts for VRS or correction service credentials.

Removing the hidden FieldLink folder forces the application to rebuild all GNSS and correction‑service settings.
