Trimble GNSS - Installing codes/Firmware

  1. Start Trimble Installation Manager (TIM).
    1. Trimble Installation Manager automatically connects to the Internet, updates itself if required and then checks for available updates for the connected device.
  2. Connect the receiver to the computer or tablet using the yellow USB to LEMO cable. When connecting to the receiver, match up the red dot for the connector on the cable, with the red dot on the receiver.
  3. Turn on the receiver. The connected receiver appears as a COM port.
  4. If the receiver icon is not automatically selected in the left navigation bar of TIM, select the receiver icon and then tap Connect in the bottom right.
  5. If required, select the serial/COM port on the computer that the cable is connected to and then tap OK. Generally, there is only one option available.
  6. In the Install updates tab, select the items to install. The color of an item indicates its installation status. Ensure all items are selected, then select Install.
  7. You may receive a prompt telling you to continue the operation. Select Install to continue.
  8. When the process is complete, select Finish.
  9. Continue these steps for the second unit.
  10. When finished, the receivers are ready.
