With Trimble FieldLink, one of the easy ways to do a quick reset of your software is to remove the hidden file cache located in the User folder. This quick and easy fix is a common method to remedy issues within FieldLink such as crashes, freezes, and unwarranted behavior. Note: While deleting this folder will not remove any job data, it will reset your software preferences such as units, and measurement speed. These settings will need to be reconfigured.
Steps For Removing Hidden FieldLink Files
1. Make sure Trimble FieldLink is closed.
2. Open File Explorer, and select "This PC"
3. Navigate to your "C" drive, and then select Users > "User Folder" (likely Trimble) > App Data > Local. Note: If you do not see the App Data, you will need to enable the Hidden Files option. To do this, select View and select the Hidden Items checkbox.
4. Next, find the FieldLink folder, and delete it. You may now open FieldLink and begin working.
*For Subscription licenses, an Internet connection is required to log in to FieldLink.
