Gnss Receiver – Factory Reset

Purpose

Use this procedure to hard reset a GNSS receiver to factory defaults when the admin/password is unknown or access to the receiver settings is not possible.

This process restores default settings and re-enables Wi‑Fi in Access Point mode.


When to Use

  • Receiver password is unknown or forgotten

  • Unable to access receiver settings

  • General troubleshooting after configuration issues


Factory Reset Procedure

  1. Ensure the receiver is powered on

  2. Press and hold the Power button for 15 seconds for a soft reset (30 seconds for hard reset)

LED Behavior During Reset

  • After ~2 seconds:

    • Radio LED turns off

    • Wi‑Fi LED turns off

    • Satellite LED turns off

  • Battery LED remains on

  • At 15 seconds (soft reset):

    • Satellite LED turns on, Battery LED remains lit → release the Power button

  • At 30 seconds (hard reset):

    • Satellite LED turns offBattery LED may remain lit → release the Power button.

  • If unit doesn't power off, open battery cover to power cycle unit.


After the Reset

  • Receiver restarts automatically

  • Receiver is restored to factory default settings

  • Wi‑Fi turns on in Access Point mode

  • Default credentials and configuration are restored
