Trimble T100 - Installing a microSIM card and microSD card

Installing a MicroSIM Card and microSD Card on the Trimble T100 Tablet

To enable cellular connectivity on the Trimble T100 tablet, you will need to install a MicroSIM card and optionally a microSD card to expand storage.

Before You Begin

Ensure the device is powered off before proceeding:

  1. If the tablet is on, tap and hold the power button, then select Shut down or Sign out > Shut down.

If any Trimble EMPOWER modules are installed, use a Phillips screwdriver to carefully remove them.

Installation Steps

  1. Remove the Card Bay Cover
Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen and remove the screws securing the card bay cover.

  2. Insert the MicroSIM Card
Insert the MicroSIM card into the SIM slot. Make sure the orientation matches the diagram inside the slot.

Note: Most modern SIM cards are Nano SIM size. The T100 requires a Micro SIM. If your SIM is smaller, use a SIM adapter. SIM adapter kits are available online.

  3. Insert the microSD Card
Place the microSD card into the designated slot, ensuring proper orientation.

  4. Replace the Cover
Reattach the card bay cover and secure it with the screws. If you removed any EMPOWER modules, reattach them.

Storage and SIM Information

  • The T100 includes 512 GB of onboard storage. You can expand this up to 2 TB using a microSD card.

  • The tablet supports 4G LTE connectivity using a Micro SIM card from your mobile carrier.

Contact your provider to confirm compatibility and ensure the SIM is active with a data plan.
