Trimble Fieldpoints - Installation Guide


1. Verify if Trimble Installation Manager (TIM) Is Already Installed?

  1. Click on the Windows icon in the lower left hand corner of the screen
  2. Scroll down to the 'T's
  3. Look for Trimble Installation Manager
    1. Option A.) If TIM is not there, follow the guide linked below.  Then move on to the step 2.

    2. Option B.) If Trimble Installation Manager is installed, move on to step 2

2. Install Trimble Field Points

  1. Be sure Controller is selected (Green Box)
  2. Be sure Trimble Field Points is selected (Blue Box)
    1. If it is not visible, check Show all (Yellow Box)
    2. DO NOT select Trimble Field Points (RLM)
    3. Trimble Field Points Subscription will be visible (Orange Box)
    4. Use the drop down carrot to select the version {Year} (Red Box)
    5. Uncheck the options not desired
    6. Click on Install
    7. Accept all of the default

3. Activate your TFP License in AutoCAD/Revit

  1. Open the AutoCAD/Revit version for which Trimble Field Points was installed.
  2. Open or start a new job
  3. Click on Trimble Field Points in the ribbon
  4. Sign in with the email address that the license is assigned to
(Note that users must be activated and assigned before this step. Please refer to Setting Up Your Trimble Software Subscriptions Guide here.
